The Sandberg California II TM5 Greenline Nature Highgloss is known for its exceptional craftsmanship, sustainable design approach, and versatile modern sound. It has been crafted with precision and attention to detail. The bass features a high-quality alder body finished in a striking Nature Highgloss, showcasing the natural grain while delivering a strong, resonant foundation with deep, articulate low-end response.

The neck and body have been designed with player comfort in mind. It has a well-balanced feel with a smooth satin-finished roasted maple neck and a pau ferro fingerboard with white block inlays, offering a stable, fast-playing surface with a clear, focused attack. The extended 35” scale length, combined with a 44mm nut width and 18mm string spacing, gives this TM5 exceptional clarity and tension across the low B string while remaining comfortable and controlled.

This bass comes equipped with Delano pickups and Sandberg electronics, delivering a highly dynamic and modern tonal range. With Volume, Pan, Bass, Treble, and a coil switch, it offers a wide palette of tones—from deep, tight modern lows to articulate midrange punch and expressive single-coil clarity.

Every Sandberg bass has been Plek’d in the factory. What is a Plek, you ask? A Plek is a computer-controlled fret leveling tool, which in the hands of an experienced tech, can provide an unparalleled fret job. It levels frets with an accuracy of .001″, assists in the process of making nuts, and offers extremely advanced setup functions.

For the greenline series, we seek out these woods of character – with unique marks, grains, and colorations to create a more responsible instrument.

For this sustainable project we are collaborating with UNITED KIDS FOUNDATIONS FOREST to plant a tree for every single greenline series instrument. Those trees will be planted locally in our beautiful Harz Mountains.
