Rob Allen MB-2 Maple Fretless 34″

This Mb-2 bass features a semi-hollow swamp ash body with a flat sawn western maple “drop top” without binding. The “drop top” is a thin top that is steamed and then vacuum pressed onto the body to produce a generous arm contour. The 34” scale neck is made from eastern rock maple, with a very light birdseye figure to it. The fretless fingerboard is cocobolo, with maple line markers. This bass comes with a custom made form fit case that snugly fits the bass like a hand in a glove. The case is locally made by G&G in Los Angeles. Strings are La Bella 760n, a steel flatwound with a black nylon outer wrap, for a very smooth feel.
