Martin B-1 Acoustic Bass – Pre-Owned

We’re pleased to have this Martin B-1 acoustic bass available here at Bass Direct. Dating from 1998 and made in the USA, this B-1 combines a mahogany body and spruce top with a natural satin finish, giving it a classic, understated appearance. The mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard offer a comfortable playing feel, while the tortoiseshell pickguard and chrome hardware complete the traditional styling.

Acoustically, the B-1 delivers the warm, woody character you’d expect from a well-made acoustic bass, while the Fishman piezo pickup and 9V electronics provide a practical amplified option for live performance and recording. The 34″ scale, 18mm string spacing and lightweight 5lb 7oz (2.4kg) construction make this a comfortable and versatile instrument. This example also comes supplied with a hardcase and is fitted with a useful Hipshot Xtender, adding further versatility to an already distinctive acoustic bass.
