These basses are being built under license from Ken Smith bass guitars by one of Japans top custom shop builders, Sleek Elite, who have been working with Hadrien since 2008 on this bass. It has some unique features like the new “Smith: style headstock, the new preamp with a 4 position mid boost and the rosewood finger ramp to add Hadriens finger technique and have 17.5mm string spacing at the bridge.

Hand made in Japan using woods and components from Smith in the USA, this Hadrien Feraud signature bass features; 1 piece maple neck, swamp ash body, lake placid blue finish, rosewood fingerboard, Ken Smith Jazz Bass pickups with smith 3 band EQ. An exquisite bass that has a super fast neck and wide dynamic range with depth and warmth to the tone in the mids with a clean top end and punch in the mids, a very versatile instrument.

All instruments have been plek’d in factory. What is a Plek, you ask? A Plek is a computer-controlled fret leveling tool, which in the hands of an experienced tech, can provide an unparalleled fret job. It levels frets with an accuracy of .001″, assists in the process of making nuts, and offers extremely advanced setup functions.
