Sandberg Custom Yolanda Charles 4-String

The Sandberg Custom Yolanda Charles 4‑String Bass is a signature collaboration with legendary British bassist Yolanda Charles, designed to capture her groove‑driven, expressive playing style. Combining Sandberg’s precision craftsmanship with versatile performance, this bass delivers clarity, depth, and character across any musical setting.

Its five-piece, bolt-on neck blends Canadian hard rock maple and mahogany for exceptional stability, tonal richness, and resonance. The rosewood fingerboard features 24 frets, oval inlays, and glow-in-the-dark side dots, offering smooth playability and precise navigation across the fretboard. The solid European ash body with Brown Burst Matte finish provides a full, punchy low end while allowing mids and highs to articulate with clarity.

Sound is shaped by dual Delano VT pickups—one split-coil and one single-coil—paired with a 3-band active/passive EQ, giving players the ability to dial in anything from warm, vintage tones to modern, cutting clarity. Fingerstyle, slap, or pick playing all respond naturally, making the instrument expressive and versatile.

Premium Sandberg hardware, including a single bridge and tuners, ensures stable tuning and reliable performance. Balanced, resonant, and richly voiced, the Custom Yolanda Charles 4-String Bass is a professional-grade instrument that merges signature artistry with stage-ready functionality.
