Product Description

Designed in collaboration with fusion bass legend Jeff Berlin, the Peavey Palaedium is a rare and refined instrument that merges boutique craftsmanship with innovative design. Produced only between 1991 and 1994, this American-made bass delivers exceptional tone, playability, and a unique aesthetic that stands out in any collection.

This particular model, finished in a striking Transparent Violet, features a resonant alder body with sculpted contours for ultimate comfort. Its bilaminated rock maple neck, reinforced with dual graphite rods, offers superb stability and a fast, modern feel. The ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays adds a touch of elegance and premium touch response.

At the heart of the Palaedium’s voice are two custom passive quad-coil humbuckers, designed by Bartolini, offering a punchy, articulate tone with a wide dynamic range—ideal for everything from jazz to progressive rock. Despite its passive configuration, the pickups deliver clarity and depth usually reserved for active systems.
