The Ibanez SRD905 is a high-end five-stringelectric bass from Ibanez’s Bass Workshop line that blends modern electric versatility with expressive, upright-inspired tone. It features a lightweight semi-hollow okoume body with an exotic maple top, paired with a five-piece maple/walnut neck and a bound Panga Panga 30 fret fingerboard, giving players access to upper-register melodic playing typically found on upright basses. For electronics it combines Nordstrand Big Break magnetic pickups with an AeroSilk bridge piezo system and an active 2-band EQ with dedicated piezo tone control, allowing you to shape everything from deep, smooth electric bass tones to more acoustic-like sounds. Additional thoughtful features include luminescent side dots for low-light playing and precise piezo trim controls.
