Product Description
The EMG 35CSX is a big sounding modern humbucker for players looking to tame the higher frequencies in their bass tone. The two coils are loaded with ceramic and steel magnets that provide warmth and punch with a smooth top end for plenty of output. All EMG pickups come with EMG’s solderless wiring and pots.
The X series preamp gives the pickup a more dynamic range along with increased headroom while keeping the more traditional string-to-string balance. X series pickups also come with an Active Tone Control (VLPF) designed to roll-off (attenuate) high frequencies, similar to a typical passive tone control. The result is a noiseless pickup with a classic EMG sound that bridges the gap between active and passive.
Manufacturer’s Note: This model uses an extended housing that is 3.5 inches (89mm). Make sure to check the instructions for pickup measurements before purchasing to compare your existing pickups with EMG models.
