When Leo Fender first invented the Precision bass it immediately became popular with musicians of the day, the instrument was upgraded again in the 60s and has become an icon for bass players around the world. Sheldon Dingwall has brought this design straight in to the 21st century utilising the benefits of fan fret technology which gives a more balanced tone and reduces dead spots. The scale runs from 34.25″ on the E to 32″ on the G which makes the bass easy and fast to play and the hand carved neck profile is very comfortable, add in the lightweight alder body and you have arguably the finest take on an old school classic. This bass has been further enhanced by the addition of the new FDV “vintage voiced” pickup in the bridge position and 4 way pickup selector.
