Ibanez BTB845 Cerulean Blue Burst 2019 – Pre-Owned

Ibanez BTB845 is a five string BTB series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2017. It is made in Indonesia as part of the Standard line.

The BTB845 features neck through body construction with a poplar burl top and mahogany back on ash wings attached to a maple and rosewood neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers. The body has a double cutaway design with very distinctive, narrow, curving horns. Components include a pair of Bartolini BH2 passive pickups with an Ibanez custom preamp with a three-band EQ, stainless steel frets including a zero fret, individually mounted Mono-rail V bridges with 19mm string spacing, a locking Neutrik stereo output jack, a plastic nut and Ibanez tuning machines.

For 2018 the rosewood fretboard was replaced with jatoba and the maple and rosewood neck was replaced with maple and walnut. For 2019 the mahogany back was replaced with okoume. For 2021 graphite reinforcing rods were added to the neck and the fretboard material was changed back to rosewood.
