  5. A true modern classic – First introduced in 1977, Stuart Spector’s NS-2 has set the industry standard for modern, neck-thru body electric basses. Individually crafted by hand in small batches by expert luthiers in Woodstock, NY, USA Series basses are constructed from the finest source materials, including hand-selected tone woods from the most fertile regions of the United States. From the elegantly carved NS contoured body shape to our coveted active tone controls that contribute to the now-famous 'Spector growl', USA Series models represent the pinnacle of electric bass design. The Stuff of Legends and Dreams

The Legendary NS-2™ Bass; Introduced in 1979, it has become the standard for what a Professional P/J Bass should be. Embraced by a virtual Who’s Who of iconic bassists representing every genre of music imaginable, theNS-2™ is the bass most often associated with SPECTOR®.

When musicians speak about the “Trademark SPECTOR® Tone™”; it’s the warm, powerful growl of the NS-2™ they are referencing. In reality, very little has changed regarding the design or components of this model since the early 1980’s.

You might ask why? The answer is simple; who are we to mess with perfection?

WARRANTY INFORMATION

Limited Lifetime Warranty

to the Original Owner

Our Europe Series™ and USA Series™ instruments come with a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser.  The instrument must be purchased from an authorized SPECTOR® dealer and the owner must provide proof of purchase time of

warranty claim.

Each of our USA Series™ basses is made by hand. Variations in neck thickness can occur as part of the hand-shaping process.

*Please note that due to the shaping of the neck as it connects to the headstock (volute) the first fret measurements may seem large.  So in these instances we have included the measurements from the second fret to provide a better sense of the neck's true thickness.
