The UK's Bass Guitar magazine has reviewed the MoMark, awarding it top marks for build quality and value for money. Here are some excerpts:

"Despite its modular design the MoMark feels reassuringly solid leaving us with little doubts over its durability. The individual modules mount securely into the chassis and can be easily slid in and out."

"If we had any reservations about how the MoMark might sound based on its compact size and modular design, they were quashed soon after plugging in. The MoMark retains all of the tonal transparency and fast note response that has made existing Markbass lines so popular. The tonal character of your instrument comes through in abundance and remains well balanced making the MoMark instantly gig ready. The T1M preamp module grants access to a little mid range warmth that compliments the focused definition that’s already present in both the low and high-end frequencies."

Premier Guitar has reviewed the MoMark modular amp system and loved the musical tone, flexibility, and value for the money. Here are some excerpts:

"After breaking everything out of the box and getting my bearings on the MoMark, I was ecstatic to realise that putting in modules and switching them out is a breeze. It is a simple plug-and-play system which made this bottom ender rather happy. Everything snapped easily in place and then the biggest challenge was figuring out where to start."

"Right off the bat I was pleased at the warmth from the tube preamp. There was just the right hint of growl and roundness that one would expect and the parametric EQ responded nicely. Subtle tweaks were noticeable and present, which is commonly not the case with EQs on inexpensive amps. In live applications the MoMark was able to cop everything from a balls-out rock tone to a soul groover’s delight."

"Changing over to the “solid state rig” composed of the S1M and EQ7G yielded just as favourable results. The sound was reminiscent of that classic ‘80s clean tone that works great for everything from modern rock and country to funk. Slappers in particular will enjoy the articulation and super clean top end of the EQ7G equaliser. In a word, the EQ7G “spanked.” FYI: If you want a hint of extra growl and attitude, use the T1M tube preamp in front of the EQ7G equaliser and turn it up. It leads way to a mountain of bassdom that rarely scaled."

"All in all, there is very little to complain about with the MoMark bass amp system. Markbass’ commitment to quality runs rampant throughout without overly colouring your bass’ natural sound. No matter what combination of modules you use, you can easily find a bass tone that is useable and—more importantly—musical. This system surprisingly sounds like it should be much more expensive which these days is a major plus. If you’ve longed for a customisable bass amp rig but didn’t have the money to buy a barrage of individual components, you may want to take a look at the MoMark. It might just save your back and your wallet while delivering some thunderous tone."

The EQ0 module was conceived in response to the many requests we’ve received from musicians who are fully satisfied with the flat sound of their Markbass head amps, and prefer the clarity they achieve when their signal is untouched by equalisation.

Four bands of equalisation are featured in the EQ4 module, set at the same frequencies as the EQ controls of our top-selling and critically acclaimed Little Mark II, now considered an international standard. The frequencies that you can cut or boost have been carefully selected, and all tweaks are audible: only small adjustments are needed to control punch, attack, and definition to suit your personal needs and tastes.

The EQ42S module features four-bands of EQ with two fixed-frequency controls and two semi-parametric controls which allow you to choose the mid-range frequencies that you want to boost or cut.
