In the GBE 750, there is combined the tonal flexibility and aesthetics of the GBE 1200 in the convenience of a 750-watt, two-rack space design. The preamp section is dual channel: one FET and one 12AX7 tube. Each offers the unique 5-band active EQ for enhanced musical response. These channels can be individually selected or mixed together via a 5-button footswitch (£79.99). This footswitch also accesses the Signal Shape circuit offering tonal enhancements for Low Frequency Extension, Mid Scoop or High Frequency Attack.

The tonal options are endless - from articulate, quick punch to tube warmth and growl. Incredibly, it delivers the same long list of features as the GBE 1200, with the exception of the chassis details and rated power. The GBE 750 also includes the exclusive POWERFLEX feature, which optimises the amplifier and power supply sections to deliver near full power at 4 ohms and complete long-term power stability at 2 ohm operation.

Based upon the tone and versatility of the popular GBE 600, the new GBE 1200 “takes it to the limit” in features, power and performance.

With added refinements and output power, the GBE 1200 delivers 1200 watts of power, tone and versatility into real world “reactive” speaker loads. The ability for our amplifier designs to drive “resistive” and “reactive” speaker loads, along with our Extended Burst Power ratings, separates Genz Benz from the pack.  These amplifiers are louder, punchier, warmer and more articulate.

The GBE 1200 introduces the unique “POWERFLEX” circuitry and switching which helps to provide full and stable power delivery into selectable 4 or 2 ohm speaker loads.

The Preamp section of the three-space GBE 1200 is enhanced with two separate FET and 12AX7 TUBE channels that can be selected independently or mixed together creating endless tonal possibilities. A “global” Signal Shaping Circuit and Master output section round out the performance aspects of this amp.

The GBE 1200 is beautiful too! The contoured, sleek lines of the 5 mm thick, machined aluminium front panel are adorned with blue LED’s and colour-coded Master Status LED’s which provide comprehensive operator information at a glance. Ergonomically sculpted handles add comfort and convenience.

DYNAMIC OUTPUT INTO “REACTIVE” REAL WORLD SPEAKER LOADS
An important and not commonly discussed specification is a power amps ability to deliver rated power into a “reactive load”. All speakers present a reactive load to the amplifier, reducing real world driving ability. Although speaker cabinets are usually rated as 8 or 4 ohms, this is a “nominal” impedance rating and in actuality can dip as much as 30%.

Since speakers are not resistive loads but rather are highly “reactive”, amplifiers must work even harder to drive them and will often prematurely trigger their protective limiting circuits - not so with GENZ BENZ bass amps!!

Our bass amplifier designs compensate for this effect and are rated to deliver their full power into reactive loads. This is one important reason GENZ BENZ amplifiers sound so big!!

POWERFLEX
Maximum Power Feature
This feature, designed into the GBE 1200, optimises the massive power supply to better deliver maximum power levels at 4 ohms and for extended 2 ohm operation into reactive loads.

A large switch on the rear panel is provided so that the amplifier can be switched to correctly match the total cabinet impedance load on the amplifier for optimum performance and power.

An amber LED indicator is provided on the front panel Master Status section to indicate when the POWERFLEX feature is switched to
2 ohm operation.


EXTENDED BURST POWER RATINGS
The GBE 1200 is rated using the Extended Burst Power method which tests amplifier power output using a duty cycle 10 times more stringent than the IHF standard. This demanding test method provides a much more accurate representation of the performance demands on the bass instrument amplifier in the real world.

GENZ BENZ warrants all products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship, for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase, when purchased from an authorised GENZ BENZ dealer. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear incurred from the normal designed use of the product and specifically limits the warranty for tubes to 6 months. This warranty is only effective if a copy of the original sales receipt is presented at the time of warranty service.

GENZ BENZ will repair or replace, at its option, any defective materials provided the product:

•Has not been misused, abused, tampered, altered or damaged either by accident or during shipment.

•Has not been subjected to excessive or insufficient power, i.e. burned or discoloured voice coils.

•Has been returned to GENZ BENZ or its authorised service centre, freight pre-paid, together with a copy of the original sales receipt, from an authorised GENZ BENZ dealer.

•Has been registered with GENZ BENZ within 10 days of the purchase date.

•Has its original serial number intact and it has not been defaced, changed or removed.

Any products which may be used for rentals, while in the dealer’s inventory, shall be covered from the date of the original invoice to the dealer. If rented products are subsequently sold from dealers stock, this warranty shall be in effect only for the remainder of the warranty period not yet used. GENZ BENZ makes no other warranties, written or implied, with respect to its products merchant-ability or fitness for any specific purpose, other than covered in the duration of the length of this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, which may vary from state-to-state.
